Database Project & Implementation Lead
This role is being offered on a 12-month non-ongoing basis. This role may be performed remotely with a minimal on-site presence of 2 days per month as required.
Working within the External Relations team, this position will provide business critical leadership for Tessitura, ahead of the National Portrait Gallery’s upgrade to Tessitura V16. The role will ensure proper utilisation and growth of data-driven initiatives and best practice across the business.
Specific Tasks
• Manage the National Portrait Gallery’s upgrade to Tessitura V16 from planning to implementation, ensuring business readiness and best practice
• Documenting all Tessitura procedures
• Manage Tessitura upgrades and troubleshooting, working with the Tessitura network to optimise business intelligence
• Manage all customer data, import data from Gallery initiatives and third parties
• Actively engage with internal stakeholders to implement and execute data validation processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of database entries.
• Update Systems Tables as required for elements such as attributes and output sets
• Provide any reporting as needed for the External Relations, Finance and Access & Learning teams
• Create Analytics Dashboards for ongoing reports
• Ensure accuracy of all data and reporting from Tessitura.
Selection Criteria
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in database management, preferably Tessitura, with a knowledge of SQL programming;
• Demonstrated experience in leading an CRM implementation project, including managing timelines, engaging effectively with stakeholders, and cross-organisational coordination;
• Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day database operations, including maintenance, training, report development and data visualisation
• Demonstrated analytical skills, particularly in relation to customer databases
• Eye for detail and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure; ability to work autonomously with limited direct supervision.
Industry specific – desirable:
• Tertiary qualifications in information technology, data engineering and/or related subject areas
• A broad understanding of the cultural sector and the role of CRMs in arts organisations.
